Although Canadian British by birth, Glen Capra first studied piano at the West Sjaelland music schoolin Denmark. Between 1988 and 1993 he gained both BA (hons) and MA degrees from the university of Sussex, then specialized in performance at the Guildhall School of Music, graduating with a diploma. In 1994 he obtained a Licentiate diploma from Trinity College.
Glen has performed as recitalist, chamber musician and soloist with orchestra at many of the country’s arts festivals, recital series and music societies. Glen works extensively in contemporary music, being a member of Tacet, ensemble in residence at the University of Sussex.
Recently, Glen has toured the Czech republic with the Brighton Festival Youth Choir and toured the UK with the Tacet ensemble with "Junctions" a fusion of english folk and contemporary classical music.
Future projects include recording chamber musicby Michael Finnissy for the Metier label, a residency at Kunst Radio, Vienna, and a tour of Sri Lanka. Broadcast performances have included BBC radio 3, Classic FM and Southern Counties Radio.
